Movies in the Park, Entertaining a New Friend, and our Storytime Staple
What a weekend...
Literally...from Friday to Sunday...#MiniMe and I had a full weekend...
Movies in the Park...
I picked up the #MiniMe from school and we went straight to grab some dinner and all the materials we needed for our very first Movies in the Park event.
Can we just talk about how fun this event was? I have never yearned for days past....but oh my gosh...this was cute...
Leap was displayed on the big screen...miniature pinwheels were given to all AND...a local dance teacher led the kids in a moving circle...
Sloane was IN LOVE...
Needless to say...we will be back...may even search for other similar events across the city...AND...Sloane will begin dance classes this summer lol:-)

Rainy Day Story Time
Saturday started with a bang...a boom...and some very bad rain storms. Unfortunately, this meant no Farmers' Market, but we did do our staple story time at Barnes & Noble. This storytime was dedicated to the upcoming #Incredibles2 movie.
Transparent moment...Sloane and I were late...we missed the reading of the book...a little girl informed me of what I knew. This same little girl was this close to having a #read ;-)
***SIDENOTE: I miss The Real Housewives of Atlanta***
Sloane was able to do the art activity. I then read her the book. We ran around the bookstore and left to begin prepping to entertain a friend.
New Friend Calls for Trying New Recipes
I am a true Marketer. I love entertaining. I love decorating. I love setting up a spread.
Sloane and I entertained one of my sorority sisters...shoutout to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc ;-)
My Soror has adapted a more vegetarian lifestyle so I thought this was a great time to try this Southwest Chicken Salad recipe I found on Facebook.

I made one dish with chicken and the other without. This salad was so fresh and easy and light. It was fulfilling, but we did not feel like we needed a Southwestern Siesta lol.
We then indulged in our French Vanilla ice cream and little waffle wafers dessert and crisp glass of champagne.:-)
Peep the gold flatware...any and every chance I get to use this FAB flatware I do!
